Build a Mindset of Success

In September I had the opportunity to attend the virtual Real Estate Resilience Summit. There were a variety of speakers from many areas of real estate investing. One speaker that I really appreciated was Kelly Resendez, who shared about unlocking abundance and building a success mindset. Some beliefs that come with an abundant mindset include realizing that you create your OWN success and that you are worthy. You need to know that you are enough, and that clarity will come. I have learned that it is important to be flexible and adaptable in life. Each day you should try and be the best version of yourself. You oversee your mindset! Here a few steps to building your mindset:

1.        Practice gratitude every day. I find it is always easy to get caught up with daily tasks and forget to be grateful. This is a great reminder to take at least one moment each day to be thankful.

2.        Believe in unlimited possibilities. If you are not where you want to be in life, write out what it is you want with believing anything is possible.

3.        Continue growing. There are always areas in life where you can and will grow. It is important to have a solid foundation and build upon it. Sometimes it is important to focus and go deeper in a certain area versus spreading your focus wide and spreading yourself too thin.

4.        Focus on what is satisfactory. Learn how to shift your focus. One example of this is seeing being stuck in traffic as an opportunity to listen to a podcast or connect with someone.

5.        Create new affirmations. I am worthy. I am strong. I am smart. I am healthy. These are some examples and there are many more. Believe the affirmations you create for yourself and practice them each day!

I hope you can use some of these steps to build a success mindset, not only for real estate investing, but for many areas of life. It will not come over night, but if you take steps in the right direction each day it will go a long way. You only get one life, so live it to the fullest!
